of nine kids, my mom always saved the clothes we older children grew out of…so that the younger ones could use them down the road. I’m number 3 in the lineup and I remember that our garage had several shelves full of boxes with baby and toddler clothes. Even after my parents were finished having kids, the boxes remained. 5 years ago my parents moved to Arizona, after living in the house I grew up in for 22 years. They brought all those boxes with them…my mom figured that her grandchildren might be able to use some of the clothes…not likely! However, I was at my parents’ the other day and my mom gave me a small box with just a few articles of clothing in it. She said that she is finally getting rid of all the old clothes and just wanted me to have a few things that I wore back in the day. My favorite was this pair of overalls. Here’s Ethan, my son, sporting the same clothes I did 25 years ago. Thanks, mom!
