One of my favorite things about living in AZ is the summer…and no, it’s not because of the heat! It’s because we have the most amazing summer storms. For the past 4 or 5 days we’ve had a storm every night and the lightning is incredible! I went out early this morning (4:30am) to capture some of nature’s fireworks. I’m sure you’ll get to see more photos like these throughout the summer. Enjoy!

ya…I’m not sure about that…I’ve heard it, too. But, I have several lightning photos where the lightning is up in the sky, never touching the ground…at least what I see.
I once heard that lightning actually comes from the ground up, and not the other way around. Your last picture sure makes me think that could be right.
