Water Drop Photography

Every once in a while I get asked, “What do you like to shoot for you?” I usually answer with “Macro photography” and not much else. Tonight I experimented with macro water drop photography and am VERY pleased with the results. I set up a little space in my garage to make this happen. It involved water, paper, a ziploc bag, plenty of clamps, a tripod, light stand, sync cord, flash, and more. If you’re interested in learning how to do something like this, visit Strobist. All of the color (and monochrome) you see was done in-camera while I was shooting. The only “photoshopping” here is some slight sharpening and the occasional vignette. Now for the photos!
