…I’ve been experimenting more with my in-camera settings. Most of you know that I prefer to shoot monochrome (black & white) in-camera, because I like it to be on purpose, not an afterthought. I like shooting jpeg files so that the work I have to do after a shoot is minimal. My goal is to nail my exposures while I’m shooting and I use photoshop tools minimally and usually just for artistic expression.
Yesterday the heat died down quite a bit and a breeze picked up which made it nice to hang out in the backyard for a bit with the kids. We took lots of pictures and blew lots of bubbles…no photos with the bubbles, as I was operating the bubbles so the kids could chase them. Anyways, here are a few shot of the kids just being themselves. These photos are straight out of the camera, no editing. I used the Neutral picture style on my Canon 40D and adjusted the settings of that style to get this look. Enjoy!
