Ethan rarely looks at the camera when I take his picture. He tends to look away but still smile, which makes for great photos like this one. I had him stand next to our back glass sliding door so the light coming in could light the photo for me.
Living in the Arizona desert can make it difficult to find beautiful places to shoot. I am constantly looking for these places and decided to finish off a roll of Fuji 400H film shooting some of my favorites. All of these were shot on a Canon EOS 3…yesterday.

Yesterday I went to take pictures of 2-week-old baby Winston. He wasn’t very interested in taking pictures…he kept wanting to eat! However, we did squeeze in a few shots in between. Again, congrats to Emily and Steven on their new little guy.
I took my family to the Riparian Preserve here in Gilbert, Arizona where several species of birds can be found. I was able to photograph this bird and am wondering what it is called. Does anyone know?
