So, for my latest 365 to 30 photo I decided to make this beauty. This makes number 32 in my project. I took this shot 2 years ago…actually it’s 3 different shots that I brought together in Photoshop CS3. I boosted the colors to bring out the nice shades of purple, pink and orange that were going on due to the sunset happening out of the scene. Enjoy!

Many of you know that the summer storms here in Arizona are amazing! I try to get out whenever one hits because the sights are worth capturing. Here’s another panoramic I created from 5 shots I got recently. I put them together using Photoshop CS3 and adjusted the color a little. Enjoy!

Last night the sunset was amazing. I decided to make a panoramic image and took 5 photos across the scene. I stitched them together in Photoshop CS3 and enhanced the color a little. I really love the result. You can also find this photo as today’s image for my Project 365 on Flickr.

Inspiration

Many of you know that my dad is an awesome photographer. It’s always been a hobby for him, ever since taking his photography class at BYU in the ’70’s. My dad has always been an inspiration to me and the main photographic influence throughout my life. It was on his 35mm film SLR’s that I learned how to shoot. He was the one who bought me my first SLR and my interest and passion for photography has grown many times over since that Christmas gift was taken out of the box.

The photo below was taken in Wyoming, near Jackson Hole during a family trip in the summer of 1995. I don’t know all of the technical details of the exposure, film type, etc. But I do know that I love this image and that it has had no work in photoshop, etc. Thanks dad for being so amazing with a camera and for always being an example of humility when it comes to how good you really are.

Most of you know that I recently did quite a bit of work for a company based in the U.K. who opened a branch office here in Arizona. They first contacted regarding my water droplet photography to use some of my work on their website. I was also able to help them out with the art needed for their conference room, entry way and main hallway. I teamed up with Roxanne from Pixel 2 Canvas to get high quality canvas prints made for the job. Arizona Wildflowers and Landscapes

I’ve lived in Arizona for about 3 years now. Each year I’ve missed out on seeing the wildflowers and cactus blooms that come and go so quickly. This year I found some awesome locations full of yellow and purple wildflowers, as well as several large, pink cactus blooms. For those interested, these were taken just off of Usery Pass Rd. in Mesa/Apache Junction and off of Bush Hwy. Enjoy!
