Raya’s dress was so unique. It was designed by Alina Pizzano, who I happened to sit next to at dinner. She and her husband run Alina Pizzano Couture Bridal in Pasadena, California.

The music for the evening was a mix of performances from Raya’s dad; Raya herself; the best man and groom’s brother, Brendan; Brendan’s own band with the brothers Chiang; and 4 members of Boingo (formerly known as Oingo Boingo). The evening was like a concert and all had a great time!

Many of you may be familiar with Battlestar Galactica or Step Up 3D, which recently hit theaters. The man behind the musical scores for those and many other movies, tv shows and video games is none other than the groom, Bear McCreary. He’s a super-talented composer in Los Angeles and is quickly rising in the industry. He even composed the music for the wedding march. His bride Raya is also super-talented as a singer/songwriter. She performed at the reception dinner…but more on that tomorrow. In a nutshell, this wedding was almost like going to a concert. The musical skills of both the bride and groom, as well as the best man (groom’s brother Brendan), the father of the bride and a host of others, made this wedding one of the coolest ever!
