As most of you know, I’ve really been focusing on creating my black and white images in-camera. I like to think of it as “pre-processing,” minimizing the amount of work I might have to do on an image after it has been captured. I’ve customized the black and white shooting mode on my camera so that the contrast and sharpness that I prefer are already taken care of, for the most part. Noah was born on a Wednesday and every Wednesday since he was born we take a few photos (of course we take lots in between, too!). I captured this image the other night on our bed. The only thing I did to the image was to sharpen Noah’s eyes a little bit using TRA’s action “select-o-sharp.” It’s my favorite action for selective sharpening. The photo was taken using only the light in the room with a 28mm lens at 1/60 f/1.8 ISO 800. Thanks for looking!
